Long Time no Blog

I know it has been quite some time since I blogged, but it has been hectic here in Cape Town trying to get everything on our bucket lists done before our final days. Since my last blog we have spent a week in Sir Lowery's Pass, a township near Cape Town and a week on the Garden Route a scenic area along the Indian Ocean.

In Sir Lowery's Pass we spent every afternoon playing with kids as well as painting a mural at the local elementary school. I did not take my camera with me because most of my time was spent getting tackled by  kids and having them ride around on my shoulders and back. I know there are some pictures posted on Facebook that you can see.

Adventure week however was packed with beautiful pictures and new experiences. Our first day was spent driving and on a boat. We started the week out strong with shark cage diving on our first day and the second was spent jumping off a bridge.

The bridge I was about to jump off of

Half way down

Bungy jumping is the craziest thing I've ever done and also one of the scariest. It is such a rush but I don't think I could ever make myself do it again. My video is also on Facebook if you would like to watch the whole experience. The best part of the whole experience was the fact that it was raining. When I jumped i rushed past the rain drops, began to slow down and the rain drops seemed to be still just hanging motionlessly next to me and then when I went back up it was raining normally again. I can not put into words what it truly felt like.

I know this was a very brief post and only really spoke of one day, but I have to write a 1300 word essay tonight so I will continue with adventure week tomorrow. There is a lot more studying on the study abroad trip than I expected.

Until next time everyone be safe and I will be home in two weeks.
